Advanced Topics in Hypertension

Course description
Hypertension (HTN) affects nearly half of U.S. adults and is a major cause of cardiovascular disease and death.  Most general internists feel confident in the basics of HTN but lack training in advanced topics in HTN.  This course has been developed and presented by HTN experts from the Yale School of Medicine and addresses advanced topics: conducting a workup for secondary hypertension, managing hypertension in chronic kidney disease (CKD), managing hypertension in patients who are or may become pregnant, and managing hypertensive urgency in the outpatient setting.
